Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website aschoo.com and the Aschoo application (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Aschoo LLC (“Aschoo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Aschoo is a private school and preschool matching platform designed to help parents and guardians in New York City find schools that match their preferences and priorities. The Service provides:

• A preference-based quiz to generate personalized school match results
• School profiles with information on tuition, admissions, philosophy, and more
• Tools to save, compare, and track schools (Premium and Pro plans)
• Application deadline tracking (Premium and Pro plans)

Aschoo is an informational tool only. We do not guarantee admission to any school, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as agents for any school listed on the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using Aschoo, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account using a valid email address. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when registering
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately at support@aschoo.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently.

Aschoo offers the following plans:

• Free: Access to 3 school matches at no cost
• Premium ($149 per application season): Unlimited matches, full scoring, saved schools, and deadline tracker. An “application season” is a 12-month access window beginning on the date of purchase.
• Pro + Consultant ($249 one-time): All Premium features plus a 1:1 admissions consultant session (coming soon)

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize Aschoo to charge the applicable fee to your payment method.

Payments are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or at Aschoo's sole discretion. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at support@aschoo.com within 14 days of your purchase.

Premium access is tied to a single user account and may not be shared or transferred.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access, scrape, or copy school data, match results, or other content from the Service in bulk or via automated means
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or spam
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms.

Aschoo makes reasonable efforts to keep school information (tuition, admissions deadlines, programs, etc.) accurate and up to date. However, school data may change at any time without notice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any school information on the platform.

You should verify all information directly with the school before making any admissions or financial decisions. Aschoo is not liable for any decisions made based on information provided through the Service.

All content on the Service, including but not limited to the matching algorithm, school data, design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Aschoo LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the Service without our prior written permission.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. ASCHOO DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPECIFIC MATCH RESULTS OR SCHOOL ADMISSIONS OUTCOMES.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASCHOO LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO ASCHOO IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aschoo LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@aschoo.com. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in New York County, New York.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. If changes are material, we will notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
